The Show:

Regina Snowdeal takes the audience on the emotional roller coaster of those caught in the child welfare and protection “system” in Maine.  As a mother struggles to reclaim her son in the face of a court order, we experience many sides and frustrations of the attorneys, the social workers, the foster mother, and the judge involved with the case.

The playwright is Rick Doyle, a staff attorney at NextStep, where he provides civil legal assistance to survivors of domestic violence in Hancock and Washington counties. Doyle believes in the positive difference his work has made in the lives of so many who were in desperate need of help. “It’s not depressing at all -- quite the opposite.”
